Bassmaster Classic starts Friday, 2/23/2013

Friday, 53 top Bass fishermen will invade Grand lake in NE Oklahoma and compete for the $500,000 1st prize in the Bassmaster Classic.  Ne Oklahoma including Grand Lake, Grove, OK and Tulsa, OK have been preparing for this weekend for over a year.  The new floating docks, ramps, parking lots, rest rooms and pump station have just been finished in time for this event that starts Friday morning and goes for three days.

Fishing will be about anywhere on Grand Lake but the awards, weigh-ins and expo are being held in Tulsa at the BOK center and other venues.

Above are pictured the new floating docs just finished on Grand lake.
The Unpredictable Oklahoma weather tried hard to upstage the event with snow, rain, sleet and snow pellets the last two days but it looks like the weather will leave the region this afternoon and begone during the weekend.
Friday mornings start will be at 20 degrees with the high only getting to 36 degrees.  Saturday the high is expected to reach the mid 40's and Sunday the anglers could see 60 degrees.
The event, expo and weigh-in at the BOK center is free so if you have time, check out all the action this weekend.
