It's 'Grand' on Grand Lake: Show featuring life on Grand to debut Thursday on RSU TV
It's something every Grand Laker knows, and promotes to friends and family - life on Grand Lake can be considered quite "Grand." That message will soon be evident to television viewers around the state, when "Living Grand on Grand Lake" debuts next week on RSU TV, Oklahoma's public television.
The show, a 30-minute look at events and happenings around the Grand Lake region, will premiere at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1, on RSU TV, channel 35 (air, Direct TV and Dish Network) and 109 on Cox Communications. Hosted by Tad Jones with Grand Lake Association, and Kristi Wallace with INTEGRIS Grove Hospital, the show is produced by Jason Reed of Martini Shot Productions.
The show will feature 13 weeks of original programing. Each episode will feature segments on the people and places found around the lake, along with a selection of upcoming events. "We are extremely excited about this program," said Royal Aills, general manager of RSUTV. "Grand Lake is such a beautiful place with so much to offer and this show will have people from all over the state getting a chance to see the beauty of the people and the area."
Living Grand on Grand Lake will air during the 7 p.m. time slot every Thursday, beginning May 1, for 26 weeks. Thirteen original programs will be developed during the season. The show will repeat each week on Saturday morning. Allis said the project is designed to showcase life on Grand Lake - especially for those in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, who travel to the lake each weekend.
"Grand Lake is Green Country's most popular destination for entertainment. It's known as one of this state's great escapes," Aills said. "From Har-Bar Village to Shangri La, Grand Lake is Oklahoma's choice for fun in the sun." "There isn't another community in the state that has a TV show dedicated just to it, so Living Grand on Grand Lake is going to be a very unique program," said Jones.
